SEEARY HAS HIGH HOPES FOR SERIES
FRESH off a successful rookie season, Stawell go-kart driver Mike Seeary will go into Victorian Country Series' round one tomorrow with high hopes.
Seeary, 19, finish eighth overall in last year's series and this year aims to finish in the top five.
he will start his campaign with round one at Dooen Raceway tomorrow.
"Finishing eighth out of 52 wasn't bad," he said.
"It certainly was much higher than I expected to finish.
"This year it will be pretty tough but I want to finish in the top five.
"The easiest way to do that would be to get into the top five each race, starting tomorrow."

Seeary will also unleash his new BRM1 kart which he took possession of last Friday.
"It is looking pretty good," he said.
"The main difference is that it is European made and a number of the better drivers use the same kart.
"I just have to give it a wheel alignment and it will be ready to go."
Seeary expects to face tough competition from a number of drivers.
"Owen Perry, who is also from the Wimmera, and Ben Kilsby will be really hard to beat," he said.
"It will be a pretty strong field overall,"
Seeary said he would also be racing in an endurance event in May, which was outside the go-kart series.
"I hope to do really well in the endurance race," he said.
"My other goal is to race in the Formula Ford series in the not too distant future.
"That could lead anywhere like into V8 Super Cars, other open wheel classes or even into Formula One.
"But first I want to focus on this series."
