WIMMERA READY FOR COUNTRY SERIES ROUND 1

Finishing touches to the Wimmera Kartway Horsham Circuit have been completed. A 60 metre stretch of 3.5mtrs wide was repaired on the inside of the sweeper and the outside of the main straight. The bitumen was laid on February 17 and karts have now been testing out the new surface, drivers commenting they are happy with the feel of the track.

The circuit will be open for practice this Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th February but will NOT be open for practice before the event on Friday the 6th March. The facility will however be open for setting up tents, camping etc and the showers will be available.

A reminder that classes formed at this meeting will be the 2009 Country Series classes and entries close on the 4th of March.  Also, Sportsman classes have now been approved by the VKA and enteries can be taken online at the series website - www.victoriancountryseries.com
